Nigeria's Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has urged Nigerians to focus on the right things and do away with unnecessary criticism as the nation struggles with recession.

According to him, the incessant blowing up of oil installations by Niger Delta militants caused the current economic hardship everyone is experiencing.

"If we did not have vandalisation in the Niger Delta as we are currently suffering, we will not have this recession today. Moreover in looking at the solutions, we should try to focus on the type of problem we have and what instigated it. Then we can begin to come up with better solutions," Prof. Yemi said on Monday.
